Privacy Policy

“My Age In Days,” “we,” and “the app” refer to the My Age In Days software and this public website. The Android application is identified on the device as My Age In Days, package name com.example.myageindays, version 1.0.

This policy applies to:

• The My Age In Days Android application.
• This website, including the in-browser age counter.
• The Terms of Use and Support pages linked from the app listing or this site.

It does not cover third-party app stores (Google Play, device vendors) or browsers, which have their own policies.

The app is a personal calculator. The only personal data it is designed to hold is information you type in:

• Birth date. Used to compute age in years, days, hours, minutes, and seconds, and related facts (zodiac, birth stone and flower, moon phase, leap year, weekday, pet-year estimates).
• Country / language preference. Used to localize the interface (English, Spanish, French) and, in the Android app, to look up a historical office-holder for the year you were born. This is a preference, not a location fix.

On Android these values are stored with on-device preferences (DataStore / SharedPreferences). They are not uploaded to our servers because the app does not include a network permission and does not open an account.

On this website the birth date is stored in your browser’s localStorage under the key myageindays.birthDate so the counter can resume on a later visit. It never leaves that browser unless you copy it yourself.

We use the information above solely to:

• Display your age and the related almanac facts you asked to see.
• Remember the date so you do not have to re-enter it every time.
• Apply the language and country you selected in the Android app.

We do not use this data for advertising, profiling, or resale.

The app and this site are not designed to collect:

• Name, email, phone number, or an account password.
• Precise location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
• Advertising IDs, analytics SDKs, or crash-reporting beacons.
• Payment information (the app does not process payments).

We do not operate a user database for this product. If a future version adds optional cloud features, we will update this policy before that data is collected.

The published Android package does not declare INTERNET, location, contacts, or storage-access permissions for media. It stores preferences in the app’s private sandbox. Android backup (if enabled on your device) may include those preferences in a system backup you control.

This website is a product page, a live counter, and the host for our legal documents. It uses:

• Local storage for the optional birth date in the counter, as described above.
• No advertising cookies and no third-party analytics pixels that we set.
• Fonts loaded from Google Fonts (Figtree and Fraunces). Google may process the technical request to serve those files under its own terms.

The host that serves this site may keep ordinary web-server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) for security and reliability. Those logs are not linked to a My Age In Days account, because there isn’t one.

The app is a general-audience calculator. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children on a server. A parent or guardian may enter a child’s birth date locally to see the count; that date remains on the device or browser. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through support channels, contact us and we will delete it.

You control retention:

• Android: use Clear in the app if offered, or Android Settings → Apps → My Age In Days → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall the app.
• This website: use the Clear button on the counter, or clear this site’s data in your browser settings.

We do not keep a copy of your birth date after you remove it from the device or browser.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share birth dates with advertisers. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of a person, in the rare case that you sent us content through a support email.

On-device storage is protected by the operating system’s app sandbox. Browser localStorage is visible to other scripts on this origin, which is why we do not store passwords or government IDs. No method of storage is perfectly secure; do not enter a date you are unwilling to keep on that device.

Depending on where you live (including the EEA, UK, and California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to certain processing. Because we do not hold a server-side profile, the practical way to exercise those rights for app data is to delete it on the device as described above. For any email you sent us, use the contact details below.

We may update this policy when the product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy. Material changes that introduce new collection will be described in the updated text before that collection begins.
